DIY Face Mask

DIY

Activated Charcoal and Aloe Vera Gel Mask

Benefits of Acivated Charcoal:

  • Deep cleans pores and draws out impurities
  • Softens skin and gently removes dry patches
  • Evens texture

Benefits of Aloe Vera Gel:

  • Mositurizers the skin
  • Heals and soothes red bumps/rashes
  • Softens skin
  • Improves and evens texture

The benefts of both activated charcoal and aloe vera are endless. The above benefits are just the main ones I as well as many others lookd for in skin care. I wanted to share this mask with others because it's super easy and only involves two ingredients. And it works great! It does everything that the benifits of these products mentioned. Try it out for yourself and see how it works for you.

You will need.....

Aloe Vera Gel- The purer the Aloe vera the better. I got mine from The Vitamin Shoppe for about $4.50. I couldn't find 100% pure Aloe Vera Gel but I thought 99% was close enough and the added ingredients in this gel that I bought and great for your skin, so it was kind of a bonus!

Activated Charcoal Capsules- You will need to get the capsule form of activated charcoal so that you can open them up and mix it with the aloe vera gel.
Activated Charcoal capsules

99% Aloe Vera Gel

Step 1

Quarter size amount of Aloe Vera Gel

                        Step 2
1 capsule of of Activated charcoal

                       Step 3

Mix up your ingredients

Now you can apply a thin layer of the mixture to your entire face or just to the parts of your face you want to work on. You want to wait 20-30 minutes to allow the mask to dry. While the mask is drying it's pulling out all the impurities from your skin and doing all the good stuff as mentioned in the benefits. I suggest rinsing the mask off in the shower (it can get a little messy) and slough off with warm water. Pat cool or cold water on you skin after you've gotten the mask off to close up your pores.
